** STORE UPDATE DAY SUBJECT TO CHANGE FOR 2025 SEASON- please stay tuned as we get into the swing of the season! **
1. Orders for the current or following 2 weeks should go through the online store at rathvinden.com/wholesale. The store will update every Tuesday around 4pm. These orders will be available for pick up Tuesday through Friday after 12pm on the date and time of your choosing. PLEASE allow 48 hours between your order date and pick up day/time. That allows us enough time to organize harvest lists, pick your blooms, and give them proper hydration time in our cooler.
2. Orders that are more than 2 weeks out should be sent to the email address rathvindenwholesale@gmail.com. This will help us prioritize your emails so that they are not mixed in with all our other correspondence and public inquiries in our general rathvinden@gmail.com email address. We will get back to you with a confirmation and let you know if we can supply some or all of your order. Please put your pick up date in the subject line, not the event date. Please try to avoid pick ups on Mondays if you can, Tuesday through Friday is ideal. Please include your pick up time in the email, morning, noon, and afternoon will suffice. The format should be number of bunches, color, type of flower, each on a separate line. If you want multiple colors of a flower but exact color quantity isn't important, you can say, "mix of" before the color and that gives us more leeway. For example:
3B mix of white and pink cosmos
2B pink columbine, may sub blush
3B white columbine
1B green eye anemone
1B panda anemone
5B white delphinium, may sub larkspur
2B peach and/or orange geum
Everything on the availability list is listed in bunches, mostly 10 stems, occasionally 5 if they are very large, or a range from 10-20 if stem size varies.
You will occasionally find 11 or 12 stems in a “10 stem” bunch if we think one is small, or might not be perfect but we're not sure because it's closed. So if you find an inferior stem in a bunch, there are probably still 10 good ones but if not, please let us know. We ABSOLUTELY want to know if anything flops, has damage, or looks old. We will refund or replace without question. Pictures are appreciated so we can see what happened and correct the problem, but you do not need to send proof.
You can always buy stuff by the stem. Just take a zero off the bunch price.
We do care when the event is, and it is helpful to put that in the body of the email, but obviously your pick up time is the more critical information on our end. The more accurate you can be on time the more helpful it is, but morning, noon, and afternoon work too. The cooler is sometimes packed like a tetris game and knowing what order things are going out really helps minimize damage.
Listing the palette for an event is helpful, especially if you are looking for add ons or substitutions.
When you order from us please understand that we are limited by this basic understanding of color:
Light means pale, often pastel.
Dark means rich, not pastel.
Bright means pure and strong, not dark or pastel.
Blush - very light pastel pink. Ballet slipper. Hanoi ranunculus. Solange peony.
Light pink - pinker than blush. Sarah Bernhardt peony.
Pink - deeper pink than light pink, true pink but not neon or bright. Etched Salmon peony.
Bright Pink - hot pink, fuchsia. 'Pink' anemone. Chimacum Katie dahlia.
Dark pink - opposite of pastel, rich, jewel tone, deep rose. Raspberries. Mystique dahlia. Margarita tulip.
Dusty Pink - light or dark pinks with a smokey, grey or purple over layer. Hints of mauve. This is not a dusting of pink, it is pink with dust on top. It's dirty!
Pinks - all the colors listed above.
Yellow - pure yellow. Sunflowers.
Soft yellow - cream, pastel yellow. Butter. Cream ranunculus.
Mustard - dark yellow, orange undertones. A little dirty. Cafe ranunculus.
Dusty yellow - Yellow with brown or grey overlaid. Valley tawny dahlia.
Beige - tan. Dried things. Mature grasses. If you tell us this color we will give you dead things, we don't mean that in a bad way, nothing we can think of that's beige needs water. Champagne on the other hand, that’s tan but alive.
Champagne - very pale yellow orange can have hints of blush, tan. Pastelelgance peony. Fata morgana scabiosa. Some cafe dahlias.

Coral - salmon
Rust - dark reddish orange. Brown sugar dahlias.
Neutrals - I think I know what this is but it makes my brain hurt. Especially because navy is in there. Please just tell us the actual colors you want.
Lavender - pastel purple. Franz Kafka dahlias. Stillwater clematis.
Purple - everything from mauve, to royal purple, to eggplant, to periwinkle. Our favorite color! Huge discounts!
Dusty purple - lavender or mauve with a smokey layer. Potomac lavender snapdragons.
Mauve - pinky purple, can be light, dark, bright, or dusty.
Burgundy - very dark red, can be almost black. Red wine. Chocolate karma dahlias. Black night scabiosa.
Chartreuse - yellow green. Aka Sour. Ladie’s mantle flowers. Glow Girl spirea.
Dusty or Silver greenery - green with white, grey, blue, or silver dusting, also known as “glaucous” in horticulture. Eucalyptus, Mountain Mint, some Poplar, some Honeysuckle.
