Dahlia Digging Workshop
Want to Grow Your Own Dahlias?
How would you like to save your favorite varieties and increase your stock every
year??? Would you like to have so many tubers you’re giving them as gifts and selling
them on the black market?
Guess what, it’s easy! But there are a few tricks and hopefully we can save you years of
trial and error by showing you what we’ve learned. Plus you will take home at least 5 tubers to get you started, from varieties like Cafe au Lait, Cornel Bronze, Golden
Scepter, Ferncliff Copper, Valley Tawny, Beaucon White, Chocolate Karma, Hy Patti
(Fiona’s very favorite), Caitlyn’s Joy, Bracken Rose, Creme de Cassis, and more! We
guarantee you will go home with at least $150 worth of tubers.
This class will teach you how to grow, care for, harvest, and propagate dahlias. We are
focusing on tuber storage but will also cover cuttings and seed saving. We are gearing it
for all levels and we are going to do some hands on digging and dividing of tubers. If
you have never grown a dahlia in your life, you will learn how, if you already know how
to store tubers over winter, we will talk methods and compare what has worked best and
worse for us. We’ve had a few happy surprises over the years and we want to hear
yours! Growing and overwintering dahlias is very particular to each climate depending
on temperatures, soil type, humidity, etc, as many of you already know. We will be
discussing what works best in this region of Montana.
Warning: Collecting dahlias can be extremely addictive. There is already an epidemic of
dahlia addiction that can be witnessed in forums and tuber sales across the country.
This class will be led by Fiona who is too late to save and could be infectious. Proceed
with caution.

It’s that time of year again! Rathvinden’s famous holiday market.
You can expect local vendors, food, warm drinks, and a good time!

Harvest Moon Yoga + Flowers - with Kodee Cloninger
Come out to the farm and enjoy a revitalizing flow under the Bridger Mountain Range with a private U-pick experience afterwards!
Yoga will be a one hour flow followed by an hour for U-pick. Please bring appropriate footwear for both activities.
Please bring a mat if you have one! There will be a few to lend out if you do not have one.
Kodee has been teaching yoga locally since 2023 after completing her 200 YTT with the Collective School of Yoga. Her teaching is accessible for all levels and allows everyone to prioritize their own comfort levels. She strives to create a space for others to find the power of breath, movement, balance, and playfulness while surrounded by community.
Event is Saturday September 26 from 9AM-11AM. One hour yoga flow followed by an hour for U-pick! We will have some mats available but please BYO if you’re able! :)

KSX Art Sun Printing Workshops
We’re so excited to have Kellie of KSX Art out to the barn to host two cyanotype workshops this summer!
This is a slower, more relaxed version of Kellie’s studio classes - less about diving deep into every step, and more about enjoying the process. An afternoon to wander the flower fields, pick your own blooms, and turn them into something you get to take home.
We’ll start by heading into the fields for a u-pick moment, gathering flowers and greenery that catch your eye. From there, we’ll use them to create botanical compositions on pre-prepared cyanotype paper. Your prints will develop in the sun, and then you’ll rinse and reveal them - each one completely unique.
No experience is needed, and everything is provided. Just show up, spend some time outside, and make something with your hands.
Each participant will leave with a small collection of finished paper prints and a handful of flowers.
To keep the experience relaxed and intentional, the workshop will be offered in two separate sessions throughout the day. Each session is two hours long and limited to just 25 participants, giving everyone plenty of space to move through the process, enjoy the farm, and create at their own pace. When signing up, please choose your preferred time slot - either the morning or afternoon session.

Holiday Market
To celebrate the barn’s grand opening,
we’ll be hosting our first annual
Holiday Market on
November 15th from 10am - 2pm.
We will be selling our original wreaths and dried flower products alongside other creatives from the community. You’ll find holiday greeting cards, pottery, skincare, gear bags, live music, yummy bites and more! We hope you’ll join us and get a head start on your holiday shopping.
